Jo Simpson, Photographer
I believe that within almost every single person there is a desire to capture or
create something of beauty, to hold it close and to bring it out on occasion to
marvel anew at its perfection. That is my desire, anyhow. Nature provides that
opportunity – her forms are indeed marvellous to even a casual observer.
While writing is my primary passion, capturing the minutia of life in an image
brings me great pleasure and it is rare that I venture anywhere without my
Canon.  Perhaps my ratio of ‘good’ to ‘just ok’ photographs is in the vicinity of
1:500, but to my mind that’s fine – whether it’s climbing bare (but sure) footed
onto rocks to harness a distant image, taking happy snaps of ‘moments’, or
trembling as a female Gulliver a bare inch away from a tiny perfect form - the
images are all reflections of my life…and yours. Carpe Diem!
