I don't think anyone is ever satisfied with their skill level. I
am better now at 65 after having suffered a stroke than I
was at 25, and hope to be better yet at 70. Oil has always
been my first love, I also use acrylics. I have done a lot of
china painting, and stained glass works. I repair antiques
of all kinds and I am presently working on a large oil
canvas.
My Grandfather Robert Biermyer had a paint brush in my
hand before I started school. I still have one of my first
paintings done when I was around 6 years old. I learned
most of what I know from the artist in my family. I have also
studied under Daniel Greene and Dwayne Raven. I was
lucky that my art, or the teaching of art has always brought
in an income that I could live on.
