WHAT'S NEW
This website was made available to the public July 3, 2007.
June 7, 2008, approaching our first anniversary on-line, we have
48 artists exhibiting 229 works.
Our opening page has been changed to something like the FBI Warning
that comes with a DVD movie. This is the page you get to from anywhere in
the website where you click to the Home Page. A click anywhere on the
page takes you to our real Home Page.
A comments page has been added July 5, 2007. This is linked from the
home page. Also a privacy policy has been established.
The home page was changed early in September, 2007
The two browsing links on the home page have been effectively randomized
so that you are unlikely to open the same page twice in a row from either of
the two, Browse the Artists or Browse the Art. (I am not saying how I did
this, somebody will figure it out. If anybody can tell me a better way, I am all
for it.)
March 6, 2008: Google 'virtual art exhibit' today and you will find The Great
Virtual Art Exhibit on the first page in the third position, preceded only by
The National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, and six positions ahead of
Musee Louvre in Paris! Eat your hearts out, Louvre!
Twenty days later, we are number one on three search engines if
your search terms are "virtual art exhibit" I still want to be number one
if you google "art".
